PER LA VI EDIZIONE DEL "SIBELIUS FESTIVAL - GOLFO DEL TIGULLIO E RIVIERA" 


Cari Amici del Sibelius festival,
 
desidero nella mia qualità di Ambasciatore di Finlandia in Italia, far giungere a tutti Voi
i miei più calorosi saluti.
 
Il Festival è giunto ormai alla sua sesta edizione e neanche la pandemia a causa del Covid 19 può bloccare questo importante appuntamento dell'anno, per gli appassionati della Musica
e in particolare del grande Compositore Finlandese Jean Sibelius.
 
Per Noi Finlandesi, il Maestro Sibelius rappresenta un'icona nazionale, ma ci accomuna anche alla bella Italia, perché Jean Sibelius ha trascorso una parte della sua vita proprio in Italia, nella zona del Golfo Tigullio e della Riviera Ligure orientale, luoghi che hanno ispirato fortemente
le sue opere e dove si celebra questo prestigioso festival a lui dedicato.
 
Vorrei ringraziare il Professor Ermirio per il suo intenso lavoro e per la dedizione impiegata in questi anni allo scopo di promuovere la Cultura e la Musica Finlandese che porta tanta gioia
al pubblico Italiano e a quello del mio Paese.

Dear Friends of Sibelius festival,
 
as Ambassador of Finland in Italy, I wish to convey my warmest greetings to all of you.
The Festival has now reached its sixth edition and not even the pandemic due to Covid 19 can block this important appointment of the year,  a festival awaited by music lovers and in particular by those who are fond of  the great Finnish composer Jean Sibelius.

For us Finns Maestro Sibelius represents a national icon and in the same time a trait d'union with beautiful Italy, because Jean Sibelius spent part of his life in Italy, in the area of ​​the Tigullio Gulf and the eastern Ligurian Riviera, places that have inspired strongly his works and where this prestigious festival dedicated to him is celebrated.

I would like to thank Professor Ermirio for his intense work and dedication over the years
to promote Finnish Culture and Music which brings so much joy to the Italian public and
to that of my country.
